Corset Training Interviews
Melly
I: How long have you been doing corset training?
Melly: I started two years ago, a day after my birthday. I like wearing corsets and how it changes my body for the better.
I: How many hours do you wear corsets in a day?
Melly: I have been consistent with wearing corsets. On a daily basis, I wear it for an average of 7 hours. Sometimes, I skip a day, but I am confident that it’s not going to be a big deal since I have been doing this for a long time already.
I: Does corset training transform your life?
Melly: I can vouch for the effectiveness of corset training in my life. It has changed the way I perceive and live my life, for sure. I am happier with the control that I get while wearing corsets. My family thinks I’m more pleased when they see me wear a dress. I used to be self-conscious about that. My husband loves that change in me, and that’s a big deal for me.
Melly is just one of the thousands of women that corset training has influenced. She is elated with the positive changes that her body and her life have undergone throughout this journey. Also, Melly has dedicated some of her spare time to tell women about the benefits of corset training on her blog. She is more confident from past in her own words because she has firsthand experience of the significant effects.
Tanya
We introduce you to another corset trainer named Tanya. Tanya was a 17 when she started wearing corsets. She was overweight and was always bullied in school before she discovered the wonders of corset training.
I: How did corset training change your view on life?
Tanya: I am so thankful I discovered corset training when my life was about to fall apart. Girls my age would bully me, and they didn’t think I was worth befriending. Their words and actions were harsh and hurtful. I was bulimic then, and I wanted to take my life because of misery. My sister gave me a red corset to wear underneath my clothes. I went to school with a different aura, almost confident because my love handles were hidden. Every day, I would wear corsets, and I ate small portions of food. My life started to change for the better.
I: Can you tell us how you incorporate corset training into your life?
Tanya: What I do is wear the corset everyday underneath whatever clothes I decide to wear that day. It is not noticeable, but I can see that my body shape looks firmer than before. I wear it for 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon. It is always at the same time each day. I work out with my corset on, and I can feel my sweat just coming out of my body. It feels excellent. I work out with friends now who wear corsets as well. It’s a different kind of happiness.
I: What is your advice to girls who want to try corset training?
Tanya: I hope you do it for the right reasons. Corset training will not give you overnight success. You have to be realistic in your expectations. Just wear it one day to feel better then you can assess yourself and find out if you like it. Let me just burst your bubble right there. It’s not going to be comfortable at first. As a matter of fact, it will sometimes be painful, but you have to endure because you’re a girl who is strong, capable and smart. You will figure out a way to make corset training work for you. Your body may react differently from mine so don’t give up too quickly. Enjoy the self-confidence you will get from corset training! Best of luck!
Eight Things You Should Know
After reading the feelings of Melly and Tanya, do you understand that waist training is adequate but not accessible? There are eight things you need to be clear about before you officially join the ranks of training waists.
1. The Slenderness That Comes with a Corset Is Immediate.
Your figure does become curvy when you wear a waist trainer, but once you take it off your body will become the same as the beginning. The so-called waist training effect may also be just your mental effect. In this case, you can only wear a waist trainer all the time to maintain your ideal body shape.
2. The Weight Loss Effect May Be Temporary.
Wearing a corset brings a sense of urgency and sweat, and may have the effect of eliminating fat. But in the long run, waist training doesn’t help you lose weight because your body is quickly restored to its original state when you take it off.
3. The Waist Trainer May Cause Your Body Dehydration.
Many people know that the wearing waist trainers with exercise can lead to better effect, but the resulting body temperature rise and excessive sweating may lead to dehydration. If you want to avoid this situation, it is necessary to ensure adequate water intake during waist training.
4. It Can Displace Organs.
When you wear a corset too tight, it puts too much pressure on the body, causing some organs to leave their natural position. This is likely to cause abnormal food intake, constipation, and acid reflux.
5. It May Affect Your Breathing.
If you wear a corset for a long time or too tight, your breathing may be affected, because prolonged pressure or too tight squeezing on the abdomen can make it difficult to breathe.
6. Your Back Muscles and Abdominal Muscles May Disappear.
When you start using your waist trainer to support your body, your back muscles and abdominal muscles become idle. In some cases, these muscles will gradually weaken or even disappear.
7. A Corset Can Also Pose Other Health Risks.
Wearing a waist trainer may cause complications in many areas such as the lungs, skin, and kidneys. Therefore, you may want to avoid wearing a waist trainer for long periods of time.
8. Do Not Use It If You Are a Minor.
For young people who are not yet mature, waist training can bring a potential permanent health risk.
Most women we talked to generally liked corset training, but some people had bad reviews about it. We have different thresholds for pain, and we must admit that not every one of us can handle regular discomfort. This is to be expected with corset training. If you just have a mental picture of yourself wearing corsets and you find it too tedious then perhaps, it’s not the solution for you. What we love about corset training is that you have the option to control your body transformation. You can tighten or loosen the lace/string that shapes your body.
Having to have a long-term goal with corset training is what would help in the end. Don’t be afraid to set goals for yourself especially when you start seeing progress. Better yet, you can plan your corset training and make a spreadsheet file of your progress on a weekly basis. Don’t do it daily. You can’t be too hard on yourself, also. What you can record is your daily time in wearing corsets such as how many hours you will be wearing corsets for a continuous period. Corset training can be done 6-8 hours a day. If you want to be more flexible, you can do 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours at night. It also depends on your lifestyle and how much of it you want to alter to accommodate corset training. Remember that this type of training requires minimal work, but you have to be committed for it to yield significant results.
